To judge how much humor and comedy your speech has, take a look at its LPM (laughs per minute). As you go through your presentation, note how often the audience laughs. For a light-hearted speech you might want a high LPM such as 5 LPMs. For a more serious speech, maybe a much lower rate such as 1 LPM. And keep track of what your intended LPM is versus your actual LPM. This shows you how well your attempts at humor are working.
