Sitting pretty

Fellow speaker,

After someone in your audience asks a question, acknowledge them and get the audience to clap (e.g., "Let's give Bob a round of applause! [begin clapping]"). This has several benefits:
  • Audience claps for the person
  • Person sits down
  • You get some time to think about your answer
Acknowledging,
