To develop humor or comedy in your speech, if you know something many people find confusing, talking about how you get confused about that thing and the amusing ways you misunderstand the thing. Focus the funny "misunderstandings" on yourself, not your audience. For example, talk about your confusion over the road signs in foreign countries.
